Job Description

About This Role

We are looking for someone to join us as we develop and implement policies, programs and tools related to TD Technology Controls and Information Security. We'll look to you to help provide specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps and providing security solutions to mitigate risks and protect TD. You may also participate on projects of moderate to high complexity and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional, business line or enterprise level.

  • Apply your strong organizational skills for reporting and tracking large numbers of initiatives, activities and escalations.

  • Design tactical plans toward a holistic compliance and regulatory reporting framework for the cyber threat management domain; propose and implement plans to further the maturity of compliance and reporting activities.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the role of technology controls and compliance processes and frameworks in business and technology risk management and apply these frameworks to drive results and evolve the maturity of the Compliance/DLP and Controls Governance function.

  • Help develop, work-shop, processes and run books for controls assessment, maturity identification, compliance analysis, reporting and tracking of remediation activities to closure.

  • Recommend and execute reporting and compliance solutions in compliance with corporate security standards and corporate regulatory and compliance frameworks.

  • Create and maintain governance material for the Cyber Threat Management domain.

  • Leverage a high level of confidence and assertiveness in high-pressure situations.

  • Build strong relationships with and lead teams and individuals without direct reporting relationships.

  • Quickly analyze large amounts of information and formulate action plans based on that analysis.

  • Apply and leverage your excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to articulate and present information to all levels of management and staff to drive activities and reach objectives

  • University Degree.

  • Information Security Certification / Accreditation an asset.

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.

  • Firm commitment to staying informed and abreast of emerging issues, industry trends etc.

  • Advanced knowledge of one or more technology controls or security domains, disciplines and practices.

  • Sound to advanced knowledge of business, technology controls, security and risk issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to participate in projects of moderate to high complexity.

  • Ability and commitment to serve as a subject matter expert on business-specific, cross-functional and enterprise initiatives.

  • Readiness to participate in projects of moderate to high complexity and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional, business line or enterprise level.

  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications - Here are the preferred qualifications for this role:

  • Experience in performing a hands-on role as Compliance or Risk officer, technology controls governance specialist or coordinator, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with Risk-based controls reporting, including risk prioritization, reporting, and proposing and developing remediation steps.

  • Experience with enterprise reporting and data analysis platforms and tools (Tableau, Crystal Reports, Tibco Spotfire, MS Excel, etc.).

  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, self-learner, responsible, and focused on exceeding expectations.

  • Experience with ITIL processes, especially configuration & change management fundamentals.

  • Possess a solid understanding of Information Technology domains such as Network and Security infrastructure, topology including firewalls, routers, wireless access points, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

  • Experience with controls assessment an compliance related activities in the area of Information protection (Vulnerability and Configuration management controls, security monitoring controls, currency controls, change management, etc.).

  • Professional IT security or security and controls governance certification such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CGEIT and/or CISM is preferred.

  • An understanding of regulatory and Controls requirements: PCI, FFIEC, SOX, HIPAA, ISO 2700x, NIST standards.

  • Knowledge in current and emerging protection technologies is a plus.
