TD Bank's Credit Cards and Unsecured Lending organization offers consumer credit in three areas: TD-branded credit cards and personal loans; retail sales financing programs through TD Retail Card Services; and co-branded and private label card partnerships. Key subject matter expert professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas
Accountable for specialized product development support based on sound product expertise and knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes, roles and practices
Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations
Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services
Leads and integrates cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty, and /or projects with significant resource requirements, risk and / or complexity
Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions
Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions
Impacts the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for
Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders
Works autonomously as the lead and guide others within area of expertise

Standard Office Hours
The Product Owner I is responsible to ensure that a development team (pod) is creating value for the organization through the delivery of customer-focused product increments. This entails aligning with other Product Owners and senior management to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, continuously assessing customer feedback. The Product Owner I should always be considering how to maximize value, assessing how the product or the delivery process can be continuously improved, contributes to a positive work environment and ensures that work embodies the Agile principles of transparency, collaboration and engagement.
•\tPartner with management, other Product Owners, business line(s), and Agile teams to support the delivery of product roadmap
•\tMaintains and refines product backlog; creates user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritizes all stories to ensure work focuses on MVP (Minimal Viable Product) that aligns with product strategy.
•\tCollaborate with key stakeholders from business, technology, UX, risk & fraud, communications, legal & compliance to elicit requirements
•\tProvide user story design, development and completion oversight; accepting / rejecting user stories based on the agreed upon Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria
•\tPrepare presentations, user demos, and status updates
•\tProactively raise issues that impede the efficient delivery of customer-focused increments
•\tResponsible for defect management and prioritization
•\tAbility to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

Undergraduate degree and / or product certificate
7+ years relevant experience
3-5 years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery considered an asset
•\tWell-developed ability to collaboratively develop and evolve a product backlog
•\tProficient at defining, analyzing, documenting, and communicating product and software requirements in an agile software development setting
•\tExperience collaborating with UI/UX designers and developers to deliver client-friendly products and user experience
•\tThorough understanding of Agile/SAFe mindset
•\tDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate and empower teams
•\tStandard industry certifications such as SAFe and CSPO are preferred
