  • • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.• Conducts complex financial analysis and projections for existing and potential Credit Card products and programs.

• Provides financial, analytical, planning, and forecasting expertise to assist in the development and completion of business initiatives with understanding of the whole financial function and the key business areas supported.

• Focus is on the complete Income Statement for Credit Card products, programs, or business segments with insight to components that have greater complexity (e.g., Expenses, Revenue, Volumes and their underlying drivers).

• Creates specialized analytical tools for projects or ongoing use to determine portfolio level profitability as well as per account lifetime values.

• May lead research efforts and review details of business operating metrics to actively identify and promote new opportunities, products or insights.

• Partners with LOB to drive profitable growth. Develops conclusions and courses of action to define a path forward on identified opportunities and issues.

• Tests assumptions and predicts results of business initiatives through building of financial and business forecasting models.

• Resolves escalated issues by conferring with business partners to determine the best solution.

• Manages team priorities and deadlines, driving progress toward business goals.

• Provides training and development for new and less experienced staff.

Job Description:

Business Line Financial Manager II – the candidate will have an exciting opportunity to join US Finance Decision Sciences to lead the team that supports the US Bankcard business. This role exposes the candidate to a variety of highly specialized financial tasks spanning from new product development, marketing profitability (in support of Marketing Investment Review process), product performance deep dives, product pricing, and financial analysis for IT business cases. In addition, the candidate will be required to interact daily and build relationships with various teams within CCUL and the bank. This role requires the candidate to be creative, innovative, and have the intellectual curiosity to explore new and more innovate ways to solve problems and improve processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with preferred concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Business

• 7-10 years related analytical experience required including some People Management experience

• In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial model-building and interpretive statistics with strong technical skills (Excel, SAS, Alteryx, Tableau)

• Ability to employ complex analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis and forecasting of financial and other business performance information.

• Capable of independently planning, developing, leading, and executing analytics projects with limited guidance.

• Able to effectively interpret information, select appropriate techniques, take independent action, and communicate findings & recommendations to achieve objectives.

• Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with well-developed communication and presentation abilities (written and verbal). Strong Powerpoint skills.

• Manage competing priorities and make good decisions based on business priorities and objectives.

• Financial Services / Credit Card Experience preferred.

• Knowledge of accounting and the associated rules and regulations.
