Department Overview:

As part of US Finance-Decision Science, this position will support US Consumer Credit Card Portfolio and Value Matrix / Investment Decisioning process.

Responsibilities include financial forecasting efforts, including designing and maintaining valuation models, conducting performance analyses, monitoring product trends, and generating multifaceted insights to identify key areas of risk-opportunity to support better business decisions, drive growth and value.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

  • Undergraduate degree or specialization in one of the fields below,

  • 7 + years of relevant experience from a Information Management, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background

  • or Graduate Degree and 5+ years relevant experience

  • Proficient PC skills including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and a variety of analytical and reporting software packages

  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages (i.e. SAS/SQL/ R, Visual Basic, Python)

  • Ability to navigate multiple platforms and different data environments

  • Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills



Job Details:

  • Works closely with business partners to gain deep understanding of business and relevant objectives to contribute to strategic direction of respective business and/or the enterprise

  • Formulate relevant and meaningful data analysis through comprehensive data visualization tools, segmentation as well as leveraging advanced modelling and analytics

  • Present and communicate generated insights and recommended business actions to stakeholders/business leaders in an easily digestible manner leveraging tools/techniques/methods to produce a variety of visualizations/presentations that fit the audience

  • Apply collaborative and strong stakeholder management approach to constructively influence and persuade stakeholders and partners where appropriate

  • Builds insights solutions from end to end (from initial demand to results/recommendation presentation) ranging in complexity

  • Synthesize complex and vast amount of information and translate into actionable insights and strategy

  • Collaborate with partners on business challenges and deliver fact-based analytical advice that aligns to strategy and drives shareholder value

  • Provides thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for own area of expertise

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate

  • 7+ years related experience required

  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial model-building and interpretive statistics with strong technical skills

  • Ability to employ complex analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis and forecasting of financial and other business performance information

  • Capable of independently planning, developing, leading, and executing analytics projects with limited guidance

  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with well-developed communication and presentation abilities necessary for influencing and negotiating with various partners in organization

  • Financial services experience. Experience with building, auditing, and supporting financial models. Data tools expertise: Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, SAS, (Python is a plus); experience with Credit Cards a plus, Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
