We do this by designing and developing next-gen platforms that produce a tangible impact to all business areas that depend on them. We're a specialized team of builders with a focus on delivering innovative full-stack solutions, but with a deep-rooted passion of crafting beautiful UIs.
As part of the Atomic team, you will build and own a diverse range of products that power our business, spanning multiple business lines. This includes working with our industry-leading Desktop Interop platform, helping to scale our Metals Inventory Management platform or leading a new initiative in 2025.
We also strive to create a fun, but professional and inclusive work culture here at The Factory. In the last year, we have coordinated numerous team socials with activities like bowling, boat cruises, park hangouts and gaming at the local arcade.
About The Role
Role & Responsibilities
Lead software architecture and development on our Retail and Wholesale Commodities Inventory Management platform.
Drive the architecture and implementation of a new system that will integrate directly with our National Precious Metals Depot provider.
Working closely with technology and business stakeholders to gather feedback, shape technical requirements and maintain an accurate product roadmap.
Actively contributing code and laying the foundation for technical features that intermediate and junior developers will be able to build upon.
Coordinate development efforts across project(s) with intermediate/junior developers in the team.
Debug production issues quickly and effectively with an eye towards improving maintainability over the long term.
Ensure our platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible.

Job Requirements
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience, building solutions that span Databases, Rest APIs, Scalable Services and Web Apps.
8+ years working with Java (we use versions 11/17) and Spring Boot to the point of expert-level ability.
8+ years working with relational databases (MS SQL or similar), with experience in writing complex but efficient queries.
3+ years of front-end development with React and either Typescript (preferred) or Javascript.
You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong architectural skills.
You have proven ability to thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.
You believe that speed and quality are not mutually exclusive. You have shown good judgment about shipping as fast as possible while still making sure that products are built in a sustainable, responsible way.
A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience, with some or most in Capital Markets.
Strong sense of ownership with any work you produce.
High attention to detail and a desire to deliver a next-gen experience for our partners in the Front-Office and beyond.
Curiosity and passion to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in your domain.
You strive for simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what will last and scale well.
Enjoys working in an engaging, fast-paced environment with talented peers.
You can put yourself in the shoes of your users to understand their needs and fit that into the bigger picture.
