Job Description:

Customer

  • Hands on role focused on test automation activities with high level of complexity involving systems on Azure Cloud and SaaS Solutions.

  • Accountable for implementing effective test strategies and plans, test design / development test case automation and test execution to achieve business outcomes in ETL projects.

  • Implement functional and/or non-functional automation frameworks (performance, readiness / reliability testing (ORT), accessibility, security) including script development and execution, and ensure automated tests are integrated into the Continuous Integration (CI), delivery, and testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelines

  • Play a key role in developing, documenting, and proactively identifying end-to-end test solution designs and early automation opportunities

  • Work collaboratively with the development team to define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria and Definition of Done (DoD) / Ready (DoR)

  • Effectively engineer and leverage tools and Engineering practices (DevOps tools and processes, source code management, Test data management, monitoring tools, etc.)

  • Apply the principles of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and focus on value driven outcomes

  • Leads Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate new technologies geared towards better, faster, more secure testing activities (such as Service Virtualization, DevOps, BDD, Test Data Management)

  • Provides QE leadership, direction and feedback throughout the development and design process; provides test development / automation support to ensure that the quality of the intended solution is met.

  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to quality engineering activities

  • Ensure respective programs/ policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities

  • Collaboratively engage with relevant stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external, to shift from finding defects to proactively preventing defects

  • Actively seek and support continuous improvement and automation opportunities within the quality engineering practice

  • Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using data to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practices

  • Identify opportunities to minimize cost, provide recommendations and/or deliver corresponding strategic solutions to support cost effectiveness and to enhance stakeholder experience

  • Conduct test assets reviews to ensure adherence to quality, standards compliance, reusability, and ease of maintenance

  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exist

  • Lead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issues

  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements

  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate nonstandard, high-risk activities as necessary

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners / stakeholders to develop productive working relationships

  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

Breadth & Depth

  • Advanced knowledge of specific domain and quality engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures

  • Advanced knowledge of coding practices, testing, and debugging to develop and maintain resilient automated test scripts; hands on experience writing automated scripts using industry standard frameworks

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; investigates and analyzes potential solutions to problems

  • Perform complex testing automation autonomously

  • Deep knowledge of in scope TD business and systems, practices, business / organization, Bank standards

  • Strong knowledge in new / advanced techniques and approaches in testing and automation (e.g., BDD, Machine Learning, etc.)

  • Future focused- foresee issues and gaps and identifies industry trends

  • Collaborative team player and ability to play a leadership role in the team

  • Report to a Practice lead

Experience and/or Education

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline; or equivalent practical experience

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in testing and managing ETL projects on Azure Cloud and SaaS solutions.

  • Highly skilled in Test automation for ETL projects using core Java/Python, advanced SQL and BDD using Cucumber.

  • Skilled in Devops practices and experience in creating CI-CD pipelines on Jenkins / Github actions.

  • Experience in test automation on Azure Cloud and Databricks - ADB, ADF and Datadog monitoring.

  • Experience in testing REST APIs using Core Java and integration to CI-CD pipelines on Jenkins.

  • Experience in testing Master Data Management(MDM) and large data projects with an exposure to Kafka event streaming, batch processing, Azure cloud infrastructure and APIs.

  • Experience in testing Informatica SaaS Solutions (IDMC) for Customer 360 management and test automation using APIs or CLIs.

  • Exposure to test automation using CLIs, Rest APIs, Core Java/Python, Cucumber, SQL, Azure Databricks.

  • Lead the development of automated test scripts for functional, regression and early performance testing.

  • Conduct regular reviews of test scripts and automation codebase to ensure adherence to architecture guidelines/codebase.

  • Working closely with Product Groups and partners to align test efforts into projects plans through scaled agile methodology. Work closely with QE and partners to achieve QE Practice OKRs quarter over quarters.

  • Lead, oversee and manage QE deliverables for regulatory projects and provide status reporting to senior/executive of the bank.
