Integral to the success of our business, the Practice Area Leader plays a critical role. The Mobile Practice Area Leader will define the strategy and roadmap to improve and expand upon our team's capabilities and skillsets within the mobile engineering practice. You're eager to explore new technologies and advise our team on industry best practices. All members of the growing mobile team will seek your wisdom, advice, and mentorship.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications – the successful candidate will demonstrate the following key attributes:
5+ years of engineering leadership experience
10+ years of designing, developing and shipping high-quality mobile software at scale e.g. iOS, Android, React Native, and/or Flutter development
Strong experience with mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practicesExperience with Continuous Integration concepts and tools
Experience delivering highly available and reliable systems
Experience mentoring other developers
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Experience working asynchronously on a remote, distributed team
Strong attention to detail, planning, and organization
Experience communicating with high-level stakeholders and executing large initiatives
Passionate about fostering good engineering practices and processes
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills both in-person and utilizing a team communication tool
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to your team, advising on current frameworks, languages, etc. and determining what technologies will be relevant in future deliveries
Assist in determining practice priorities and support the development and career growth of members within your team
Lead development of mobile application engineering practices, defining OKRs, what good looks like
Provide advisor-level support to multiple projects simultaneously
Advise on architecture decisions
Lead code and architecture reviews
Work closely with cross-functional team members, including designers, QA engineers and project managers to build excellent products
Contribute as a mobile subject matter advisor on projects especially innovation and new ideas
Communicate directions and decisions effectively with the team and stakeholders
Foster cross-team communication ensuring mobile engineers work closely with the broader engineering team
Ensure that individuals on the team are learning, growing, and advancing in their careers
Cultivate an environment where team members are empowered and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership
Gain deep understanding of our existing platforms
Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions
Participate in code reviews and ensure that development standards are adhered to
Design and implement features of increasing complexity
