Job Description:

Reporting to Senior Manager, Physical Security Risk Technology , the Analyst II, Physical Security Risk Technology is responsible for assisting in the management and implementation of all Physical Security technology projects. The position works closely with security vendors and project management teams.

Job Description/Accountabilities:

  • Work with various security vendors to protect TD assets, employees, and customers through the implementation of risk technology equipment (including but not limited to IP surveillance, Intrusion alarm system and access control).

  • Track and facilitate projects (branch/Office floor openings, closures, relocations, mergers, and renovations) during all stages of implementation from a physical security technology perspective, ensuring security equipment work is completed within budget and time constraints, with minimal impact to customers and branch operations.

  • Review CAD/branch floorplan drawings, assess and complete designs for security equipment and access control requirements.

  • Configure different physical security systems such as IP surveillance cameras/NVR's, access control, and intrusion alarm.

  • On occasions, perform branch surveys to gain full understanding of scope of installs required (i.e. review floorplans, renovation/proposed layout proposals) & provide recommendations as required.

  • Coordinate and implement large security equipment projects. Work closely with various channels (as listed below); see project through from initial planning phase, all the way to final quality assurance and invoice phase. Ensure thorough and appropriate communications between various teams throughout the project:

  • Internal TD business lines.

  • External Facilities and Project Managers.

  • Regional Operations to ensure proper communication with branch management.

  • Various security vendors.

  • Track all ATM and CRU work as scheduled by each business to ensure security equipment is installed per standard based on the work orders issued by the business; work closely with each business when developing new models of equipment to make sure they meet safety and security requirements.

  • Ad-hoc assignments as determined through various internal assessments and post-incident reviews (e.g. post-robbery reviews, threat risk assessments, CPS and GSI Investigator requests due to loitering issues, internal theft, etc.).

  • Request/approve quotes for all installation and project work, request purchase orders for vendors, and validate and facilitate payment of invoices.

  • Own and update the IAD Log (Issues, Actions and Decisions) for TD approved security vendors based on the monthly SLA meetings and minutes for weekly Project calls.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise information to senior management as it relates to security.

  • Excellent people skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships.

  • High level of organization and coordination abilities.

  • Solid knowledge of physical security equipment and technology to provide recommendations.

  • Experience with physical security systems configuration – Knowledge of Axis Communications, March Networks, Software House and DMP considered an asset.

  • Information and change management abilities.

  • Flexibility required to meet with changing business needs.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and demanding environment that requires meticulous attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated, self-confident, and able to prioritize deliverables in a "high change" environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Applicants must be able to receive federal and provincial government screening clearances.

  • Applicants must be able to travel domestically or internationally, approximately 5% of the time.

Experience and Education:

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of best practices in security management principles.

  • Knowledge of physical security systems, including access control, intrusion detection and IP surveillance.

  • Understanding of business strategies, direction and goals of the corporation or its individual programs, and how to develop and integrate supporting physical security strategies.

  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification – Nice to have.
