Department Overview:

The Senior Manager ESG (US) will work with key business partners within AMCB to build and execute a US environmental agenda that supports the enterprise ESG strategy designed to drive business value and proactively manage the bank's reputation and risk exposure. This role will be key in developing environmental programs that’s are aligned with TD's enterprise ESG strategy. This is a high priority for the Bank, with engagement from executives across AMCB and the enterprise. This role will lead the ESG work for the US Bank with a focus on the environment but will be expected to support ESG- social responsibility initiatives as developed.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree required; MBA highly preferred

8-10 years of work experience

Financial Services experience preferred

Advanced understanding and knowledge of the environment, and is a subject matter expert on ESG

Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of AMCB, the enterprise and external partners

Objective knowledge of environmental issues and related public policy gained through a combination of educational post-graduate experience in environmental science or related fields

Strong understanding of regulatory environment, key stakeholders relevant to operation of TD Bank, NA

Great negotiating and influencing skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently, think critically, multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Strong relationship building skills, an influencer

Strong project management skills

Commitment to continuous improvement

Job Description:

In concert with the enterprise will execute a ESG strategy for AMCB with a focus on Environment

Align with Business/Corporate ESG workstream leads to ensure ESG initiatives are progressing in accordance with TD's ESG Strategy and Targets

Promotes and drives to execution of TD's ESG environmental commitments

Acts as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on external and internal ESG trends and opportunities

Promotes TD's environmental standards and programs and reports on progress against goals and targets

Provides support in promoting awareness and communications within TD Bank, NA regarding ESG environmental issues

Provides ESG environmental subject matter expertise and conducts research and analysis to support internal business partners that include real estate, IT, strategic sourcing, community affairs, the retail and commercial bank, risk management and marketing

Provides a US perspective in the development of TD's policies, practices and procedures relating to environmental risk and ESG issues

Acts as a primary contact for internal business partners within TD Bank, NA on issues relating to ESG

Directs and advises business units on requirements and schedules for collection of information required for the Environmental Management System and reporting requirements

Provides support to those who act as the primary contact(s) with external stakeholders, such as clients and customers, suppliers and NGOs, on issues relating to TD's environmental performance
