Department Overview:

TD Securities (TDS) Data, Delivery and Innovation (DDI) team's mandate is to deliver initiatives that enable business growth and compliance with global regulatory initiatives in an efficient and effective way while managing the risks associated with large scale programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

-University degree or equivalent in Engineering, STEM or Finance

-15+ years of hands-on experience in hands-on role in banking, sales or trading platforms and dealing with clients, risk and PnL

-Prioritization, budget planning and program management for multi-year programs

-(Must) Domain expertise in Capital Markets products and service, with emphasis on FICC business

-(Must) Experience with digitization in the markets – creating a strategy around electronic products, client-tiering based on wallet-size and profitability metrics

-(Must) Understanding of wholesale banking platform, applications and workflows. Special emphasis on information-requirements for Global Markets financial products across the entire lifecycle from onboarding to sales, pricing, execution and settlement.

-Outstanding record of project delivery success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology especially using Agile approach

-Partnership with Business Owner(s), Technology, Operations & Risk groups to remove impediments and manage within TD's risk appetite

-Pro-active in organizing and implementing business aligned priorities. Flexible with an innate ability to "course correct"

-Demonstrates superior interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills

-Strong working knowledge of project management techniques and tools including Microsoft Project, JIRA and Confluence

-Ability to build, motivate and influence leaders & teams

Entrepreneurial mindset, high threshold for dealing with ambiguity

Excellent analytical, problem solving, relationship management skills

Job Description:

Leadership

-Is responsible for strategy, leadership, planning, and organizing end-to-end delivery and oversight to the TDS's Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) business strategy

-Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required

-The high-level pillars of business strategy include – Global Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and Electronic Trading, Commodities re-platform and Global Markets' Acquisition Integration

-In addition to FICC business-aligned pillars, this role also leads the Product Strategy & Governance (PS&G) function for TD Securities-DDI. This pillar is responsible for program governance, operating structures for effective delivery, funding approvals, orchestration and meeting TD's governance control objectives

Program Management

-Is accountable for key delivery decisions and aligning cloud/ technology and business objectives into a shared delivery vision. Delivery decision includes assessment of multiple stakeholder impacts

-Anticipates issues, trends and the potential impact and timely resolution of impediments, while effectively managing the program schedule (releases) and financials and ensuring continuing review and prioritization

-Designs analytical metrics and suggests improvements to business operating model

Strategy & Communications

-Communicates, influences and/or guides executive levels across TDS in accordance with the FICC delivery strategy/roadmap

-Facilitates the breaking down of FICC Delivery priorities and roadmap into component parts that can be executed through Rapid, TD Agile PDLC delivery approaches as appropriate

-Collaborates with and coaches the respective enterprise control partners (e.g., EPDE, Strategic Sourcing Group, Legal, TRMIS, OCDO. etc.) to actively socialize TD Securities delivery standards within accepted delivery principles
