Department Overview:

We have an open position on the Corporate & Public Affairs (CAPA) team. CAPA is responsible for internal and external communications for all Corporate Functions and Lines of Business.

This resource would provide strategic, integrated communications support internally and externally across the office of the CEO and the Management Committee leading our Corporate Functions and be dedicated to supporting U.S. Risk Management, Regulatory Relationships and Government Affairs and Audit, aimed at building executive visibility internally and externally to deepen employee engagement and support recruitment.

Specific deliverables include comprehensive annual strategic communication plans for each executive (Risk Management and U.S. Anti-money Laundering, Fraud Risk Management, Global Security & Investigations and Compliance, Audit, and Regulatory Relationships & Government Affairs); full support of executive engagement plans, including thought leadership and internal employee engagement tactics.

The resource would also support special assignments for the office of the CEO including managing and monitoring social media channels.

Highly seasoned communications professional role requiring substantial knowledge/expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas

Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations

Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services

Acts as a technical expert/lead integrating cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty

Leads cross-functional teams or projects

Independently manages end-to-end functional programs

Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions

Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required

7+ years relevant experience

Advanced knowledge of multiple communications disciplines, media channels, internal/external audiences, public relations, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and customers supported

Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends

Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations

Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget

Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership

Skill in mentoring, coaching and performance management

Ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives

Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions

Ability to make an impact, influence and achieve results with effective negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions

Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques

Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
