Job Description

The role is a professional level Analyst that understands and contributes to the achievement of sourcing strategy, goals, and objectives by

providing support for the category and multiple sourcing leads on projects that vary in size, complexity and scope that contributes to the

management of the assigned spend category including:

• Contributes to demand management and category value optimization analysis activities

• Contributes to market intelligence activities to support category management strategies

• Supports and contributes to sourcing activities

Job Requirements

• Analyzes and produces high quality category spend and savings analysis, compliance reports, and commentaries for assigned category


• Researches and analyzes new category spend

• Assists in developing methodologies for measuring ongoing contract performance to ensure that maximum price/performance in

specific categories are achieved

• Assists with the preparation of the financial plan for various functional units

• Protects the interests of the Bank by completing established price audits and investigating non‐compliant spending

• Prepares executive presentations by incorporating quantitative analysis & metrics and generating business insights

• Researches supply markets, supply chain dynamics and industry trends

• Provides a range of application or systems analytical support to sourcing and business partners

• Develops and maintains key supplier profiles for assigned category

• Prepares appropriate recommendations and presentations based on research findings and analysis

• Assists in the development of RFIs, RFPs, service level and negotiation documents

• Supports the sourcing team in executing the RFI/RFP bid process

• Develops and conducts supplier pricing analysis

• Develops and conducts supplier evaluation analysis

• Supports the sourcing team in preparation for internal business and supplier meetings

Maintains effective relationships with internal/external business partners and/or suppliers

• Assists with various due diligence activities during the sourcing process

• Coordinates and communicates project activities and status on an ongoing basis, escalating issues when necessary


• Bachelor’s degree required

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large volumes of financial data, translate findings into trends and

business insights, and identify gaps

• Demonstrated ability to conduct internet and industry market research

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

• Proactive with a high degree of initiative and the ability to learn and adapt quickly

• Ability to multitask and work under high‐volume and tight time restraints

• Demonstrated maturity and professionalism with proven ability to liaise with senior manager and executive audiences

• Demonstrated relationship management skills, leadership ability, excellent organizational skills and strong business acumen

• Ability to operate well in a high volume, demanding environment; adapt quickly and adjust priorities as required while managing tight


• Displays flexibility to adapt to, and work effectively within, a variety of situations, and with various individuals or groups

• A high degree of commitment to quality work

• Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint and excellent use of Excel and/or other

• Experience with Procurement systems and Accounts Payable knowledge is an asset

• Previous experience or knowledge of procurement methodology or supply chain management is an asset
