Job Requirements:

The Sr. Analyst supports their peers in the EDM team with

•\tReview and assessment of data management controls demonstrated by the Business segments/Corporate functions,

•\tCollecting data to report and measure the established KRIs/KPIs and

•\tChange management and socialization of Critical Data, Metadata and DQ management standards and guidance, bank-wide.

Works autonomously on a range of tasks and may be relied upon to coach / educate others

Lead end-to-end processes within the functional programs

In-depth experience working with very large datasets and familiarity with big data technologies is a Plus

Keep abreast of rapid business and technology innovation within business information management field



Job Description:

The Sr. Data management Analyst within the Enterprise Data Governance Office (EDGO), supports the development, publication, socialization and maintenance of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) policies, standards and guidance with specific focus on uplifting and sustaining the Critical data identification, Metadata management and Data Quality (DQ) management practices across the bank.

EDGO is the second line of defense function in overseeing the data risks in the bank. The Sr. Analyst is also responsible for the oversight of data management controls and effectively challenges the Business segments and Corporate functions on the implementation and sustained execution of the data management practices and directly supporting our mission of accelerating TD's data journey and data driven decisions within the established risk appetite.

Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate

5+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background

Proficient knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies used in preparing summaries and reports

Analytical and problem solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions

Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends

Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques

Skill in mentoring/coaching others

Skill in using computer applications including MS Office

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships

Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently

Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines

Ability to develop requirements for data management/data quality management policies and procedures

Ability to develop success metrics and map data points for the data management requirements

Ability to develop and execute procedures on data quality assessments, data enrichment and control evaluations in data movement processes

Ability to communicate with large audience, interpret business challenges into actionable roadmap tasks for program evolution

Ability to articulate and assess Data/DQ risks and mitigating controls

Ability to work independently, with little guidance from senior management

Ability to work in a collaborative team setting, constructively challenging peers and resolving conflicts
