Completes Analysis of Entire Credit, Income, Asset and Collateral profile of customer
Completes Analysis of Businesses where the customer has 25% or greater ownership percentage.
Partners with Wealth and Commercial Underwriting groups on loans over $3 Million, presenting Money out form and complete overview of the entire loan underwriting details
Wealth/Commercial completes decision on the loans over $3 Million using details provided by the Retail Lending officer
Acts as escalation point for questions on underwriting policies and procedures within broader operations teams
Role impacts across all functions in operations and with all loan products
Approver for multiple business line loan level policy exceptions, and up to 1 Board reportable exception per transaction
Wealth policy and product exception decision authority
Works closely with Head of Underwriting regarding policy and exception strategy and process
Consultant for audits and Underwriting training materials
Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

The Retail Lending Consumer Credit Officer completes the underwriting decisions on US Mortgage, Home Equity or Personal Lending loans at high dollar limits in support of wealth lending.
The Retail Lending Consumer Credit Officer manages a variety of credit and portfolio management activities for the Shared Services Division, supporting Mortgage, Home Equity and Consumer lending products
Day to day activities involve the analysis of new business, making credit decisions, quality control and other activities. This job reviews loan applications of prospects, makes credit decisions and structuring recommendations and/or works through related department credit areas according to established Company credit policies.
The Retail Lending Consumer Lending officer manages a variety of special projects, such as analyzing new products, supporting training of high-level underwriters, and providing guidance on policies and procedures impacting Wealth Clients.
The Retail Lending Consumer Lending Officer coordinates with sales, management, credit and other personnel to establish credit criteria for customers meeting Wealth Criteria with complex scenarios and/or loan amounts in excess of $3 Million dollars.

4 year degree or progressive work experience
10 + Years of advanced underwriting experience required
Advanced knowledge of personal and business tax return analysis from both retail and commercial lending
Strong understanding of credit management and financial analysis
Understanding of Wealth Management industry desired
Refined negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
