Job Description

As a Senior Manager of the US Real Estate Team, the Lease Administration Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading a “best in class” Lease Administration Department for TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®. The Lease Administration Lead will partner with colleagues across North America, including Reporting & Technology, to lead the implementation of a web-based real estate management system ("Tririga") for the US Portfolio and oversee ongoing system enhancements, report development, data conversions, testing and training.

In partnership with colleagues across North America, the Lease Administration Lead will also develop and manage a shared services, centralized model for payment and abstraction related services and ensure all operational, governance and filing requirements are met and in compliance with TD Bank’s Affiliate Transactions Policy.

This job will provide leadership, management and direction to a team of real estate professionals responsible for all facets of lease administration and property management for the company’s US Real Estate Portfolio.

Job Requirements

•Lead, coach and develop a team of Lease Administrators, as well as ensuring an open, honest, diverse and supportive work environment

•Provide subject matter expertise for lease administration related business development activities

•Build and maintain a solid, effective working relationship with Landlords, Tenants and internal Business Partners including the NA Operations team

•Provide guidance and support to ensure resolution of escalated inquiries and issues from internal and external stakeholders

•Ensure that operations within area of responsibility are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals )

•Effectively manage third party service providers in the delivery of Tax Appeals, Cam Audits

•Ensure data integrity of Tririga lease administration module for US Real Estate portfolio

•Review and approve and ensure accuracy of the US Real Estate rental roll.

•Manage the collection of US construction allowance payments from Landlords ensuring payments are received in a timely manner

•Manage the preparation of Estoppel Certificates and SNDA documents for the US lease portfolio ensuring compliance

•Review all Lease abstract modifications entered into the lease administration database (Tririga), ensuring accuracy, quality of input and adherence to lease abstraction procedures and processes

•Work with Senior Manager in the management of key performance indicators (KPI’s) for business partners and ensure all SLA requirements are met

•Review, modify, develop and implement tools, processes and procedures relating to lease administration

•Provide monthly reporting and analysis related to the US Real Estate portfolio

•Collaborate with Tririga technical team on lease administration database enhancement initiatives

•Demonstrate operational excellence in the Lease Administration segments and measure against benchmark and best practices

•Provide ongoing support to Senior Manager, Lease and Tax as required

•Maintain proficiency with software applications/programs and/or department specific systems as required (ie. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, Tririga)

Qualifications

•Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

•At least 8 years overall experience in commercial real estate with exposure to retail.

•At least (3) years of management experience leading direct reports.
