Job Description:

The Item Processing Representative IV performs administrative tasks exercising judgment and discretion in the performance of duties usually in support of a single unit or team (encoding, reader/sorter, rejection/reentry) within Item Processing.

Shift:

2:30pm to 11pm M-F One week in office next week out at home. Fluctuates. Must cover vacations in office.

Training in office.

Depth & Scope:

  • Performs complex or non-routine administrative tasks exercising judgment and discretion in the performance of duties usually in support of a single unit or team within Item Processing

  • Works within standard procedures or modifies procedures for supervisory review and approval. Tasks are performed independently with limited supervision and review

  • Provides information and procedural knowledge for less experienced staff

  • Processes transactions accurately and on time

  • Escalates processing issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service is maintained

  • Researches discrepancies to resolution

  • Prioritizes and manages own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity

  • Escalates non-standard or high risk transactions or other activities as appropriate

  • Suggests changes or modifications to policies and procedures to supervisor based on day-to-day observations and activities

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3-5 years related experience

  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in common PC applications

  • Knowledge of Item Processing policies and procedures or other relevant banking operations experience

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload to meet unit objectives

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to provide guidance to others, clarifying complex policies and procedures and facilitating knowledge-sharing in the work group

  • 10-key skills preferred
