Job Description

The Compliance Manager is responsible for managing assigned compliance functions for the Company and supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of a regulatory compliance program through compliance activities across various lines of business, banking offices, and operating departments for federal and state rule change. This role interacts with senior management in assigned areas, developing, revising, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws/legislation. Employs various software applications and desktop tools to consolidate reported data and analyze information to detect potential compliance issues and concerns. The Compliance Manager plans, creates and maintains databases and reporting in support of departmental activities.

Job Requirements

Identify and analyse market conduct regulatory change impacting the Bank.

Researches very complex regulatory issues that may involve internal or outside counsel. Communicates findings to senior management or business lines.

When necessary, coordinate comment collection and partner with trade groups to ensure comments are relayed to the regulators. Draft comment letters regarding regulatory changes and reviews letters with compliance management before distribution to affected areas of the Bank

Prepares and creates reports for senior and executive management, including management reports encompassing issues relevant to the Bank, but not limited to, changes to the regulatory environment, status of the banks’ efforts related to regulatory change and related information.

Leads and coordinates data submissions from various compliance and external sources and business partners and ensures data integrity.

Stays current on market legislative and rule changes, and changes to the US Compliance Regulatory Office mandates and internal policies and procedures to understand impact and ensure compliance review procedures are updated as appropriate.

Performs tracking related to applicable laws, regulations and other related regulatory related issuances that impact the bank, in order to identify changes by leveraging internal tools and other sources.

Performs trend analysis of regulatory publications and database content.

Creates, develops, manages and maintains databases to collect, track, and report on final or proposed rule-making, guidance’s, speeches, notices, and similar regulatory materials issued by Federal and State regulators.

Works closely with management of other areas within Compliance as well as routinely interacts and maintains highly effective partnerships with line of business management and staff.

Supports Compliance with regulator interactions, internal audits or regulatory exams.


•Bachelor’s degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below

•5-7 Years of related experience

•In depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, research skills and presentation skills

•Strong written and verbal communication skills including a demonstrated ability to clearly provide written reports that identify and quantify risk as well as present sound solutions taking into account Bank operations and culture

•Ability to analyze the most complex laws and regulations and relate those laws to operational procedures, company policies, and industry trends
