Job Requirements:

Manages a team of credit risk review analysts, overseeing complex and sophisticated reviews and the preparation of summary reports.

Disseminates work assignments, monitors progress and consults with the Group Manager to adjust assignments as necessary.

Participates in departmental initiatives to improve efficiency, effectiveness and communication.

Conducts the analyses of complex files or sophisticated products to determine compliance with Company and regulatory guidelines.

Interacts with the Line of Business lending department staff, providing performance information, general feedback and observations while identifying areas requiring particular attention or training. Documents management responses to identified issues and problems, judging the effectiveness of responses and solutions. Escalates serious issues to department management as appropriate.



Job Description:

The Retail Credit Review Manager is responsible for a team of loan review analysts to ensure that loans are originated, processed and underwritten in compliance with relevant regulations and consistent with Company policies. This job oversees complex and sophisticated loan reviews to ensure acceptable credit standards, accurate risk ratings/assessments and that loans conform to established Company policies. The job manages the preparation of summary reports for senior management, assessing quality, trends and characteristics of assigned loan portfolios. A Retail Credit Review Manager participates in the development of efficient credit risk review procedures, ensuring that proper controls are in place. The job collaborates with management to research, analyze and resolve complex issues and challenges, reviews activity within various portfolios to identify high risk areas, maintains communications with the Line of Business lending staff, and documents responses to identify issues and problems. This job ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.

7-10 years of related experience required

Proven understanding of loan review analysis fundamentals.

Solid analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends and relationships in data and reports and the ability to formulate appropriate responses.

Experience with loan documentation, regulatory compliance and report writing.

Demonstrated ability to interpret policy and governing documents.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence other's decisions and actions without express authority

Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and retain contributing employees.

The ability to coach, counsel and develop others, proactively sharing information and expertise for the benefit of the team.

Solid knowledge of desktop technologies with technical aptitude to learn and employ unit software.
