Job Description

The Head of Collection Strategy will have decision-making authority, and will primarily be accountable for: (1) Delinquency, loss performance

and corresponding costs associated with all AMCB Retail Products (AMCB, TDAF, US Credit Card) (2) actively involved with various aspects from

the development of product conception through end of life including establishing and monitoring SLA and KPI processes to oversee collections

internal and external operations to ensure quality delivery, and ongoing measurement, striving towards continuous improvement; (3) Facilitates

product development meetings, capacity planning and monitors and analyzes industry trends and annual loss planning; (4) Responsible for

developing forecasting models to forecast delinquencies, losses and costs and implements strategies that maximize the utilization of resources and mitigate losses for the portfolio; (5) Further responsibilities include the proactive management of pertinent relationships inclusive of the line of business owner/executive, Credit Risk, other control partners, etc. Implementation of Policy changes and independently validating

adherence to existing policies and procedure

Job Requirements

 Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and

compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required

 Provides vision, leadership and strategic guidance to the operations/product teams in developing and implementing

programs/initiatives/strategies/tactics

 Leads the analysis, research and proof point development for operational initiatives and strategies

 Collections strategy advisor to senior management, multiple and/or complex businesses or the enterprise. Requires substantial

relationship management breadth and influence in leading strategic initiatives, planning and/or integrating executional activities

 Leads and contributes on projects of significant scope, strategic impact and complexity

 Ensures clear understanding of risk appetite and problem loan management policy and confirms that collection & recovery processes

are designed to deliver upon those requirements

 Works with executive/senior leadership, analytics and customer strategy to review develop other customer analytical frameworks for

TD Bank to help drive further insight, measurement – measuring and focusing on our goals

 Leads the interaction between Credit Risk and Collections in the development, communications, and implementation of short term

and long term strategic initiatives  Manages staff, assigns work and ensures high service levels are maintained according to Company policies, procedures and legal

 Develops and manages team budgets for all managed programs

 Oversees the successful design strategic plans programs and relevant project plans incorporating full range of operations resources

 Determines and acts on long term operations and customer strategies to ensure they are effectively supporting the business line need

 Continually monitors and tracks the success and effectiveness of strategies and programs

 Develops and executes operations strategies & communications for integration projects

 Provides leadership and direction for the design and implementation of an enterprise data architecture that supports the business

information needs of the Loan Servicing and Collections Department

 Responsible for developing and maintaining reports, dashboards and presentations for the detailed analysis/communication of

delinquency, losses and Collection & Recovery production results

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

 10 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry

 Must have 5 years management experience

 Knowledge of full range of operations skills

 Previous experience in developing Collections and Recovery strategies

 Must be analytical with the ability to translate into proven strategy.

 Previous experience in working with multiple departments within an organization such as: Collections, Legal, Risk, Compliance,

Customer Service

 Be proficient in all Microsoft Office products

 Be able to create a presentation to Executive Leadership, customers, and professional organizations in the related field
