The Support Specialist III executes back-office related processes designed to support the reduction of losses associated with defaulted loans.
•May make outbound customer phone calls.
•Negotiates payment arrangements to reduce delinquency.
•Within designated authority, identifies settlements, re-ages and extensions.
•Completes skip-tracing steps as required.
•Within established guidelines, directs work actions of vendors.
•Handles inquiries and incoming work requests.
•Reviews files and records to answer requests for information.
•Checks, distributes and/or responds to documents and correspondence.
•Processes and reconciles designated systemic transactions.
•Maintains filing systems.
•Compiles records of office activities.
•Photocopies, scans and faxes documents.
•Complies with all pertinent department/division procedures as outlined in operating instructions.
•Serves as entry point for the identification, routing and documentation of all pertinent collection support processes (I.E. modifications, etc.).
•Meets minimum individual and departmental goals and service level agreements.
•Suggests changes or modifications to policies and procedures to supervisor based on day-to-day observations and activities.
Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.
•High school diploma or equivalent experience
•1 year’s customer service or collection experience (For internal associates, 6 month’s collection experience and a rolling 90 day ADS rating of 3.5+)
•Proven ability to stay focused in a continuous process flow and keep pace within the work team.
•Superior verbal and written communications skills.
