Business context

TD Securities Financial Regulatory Technology team is looking for a senior business analyst to implement solutions in alignment with the firm’s technology strategy. The team is responsible for providing technology solutions for TD's reporting obligations to the Central Bank of Ireland governed by the European Banking Authority rules for risk and data analysis monitoring the risks and vulnerabilities relevant for the regulation of banks and investment firms.

Position Summary: (Overview of key purpose and accountability of the role)

The candidate will work on projects related to the implementation and delivery of Strategic Financial Reporting initiatives. The Reporting Service ensures accurate reporting of trades to various regulatory jurisdictions (such EU, Singapore, Canada and the USA) involving complex Financial reporting and Calculations.

This well-rounded individual will be required to analyze, define, document, and translate high level business requirements into detailed staging and transformation specifications for the relevant reporting obligation. They will need to work and liaise closely with TD's Business and Technology global teams in order to understand and capture requirements, communicate those requirements to the Development and QA teams, and when necessary, assist Development and QA in resolving any gaps in the requirements. It is of the utmost importance that the candidate has a firm grasp and understanding of working with Data from multiple sources. A knowledge of financial services and products would be an advantage.

The candidate will be expected to have a high capacity to work efficiently with other team members to accurately document system requirements, provide input in the design of the Regulatory Technology component(s) being working on, proactively manage issues from discovery to resolution to validation of changes, and where necessary they may also be required to create & execute test plans/scripts to ensure adherence to the agreed upon requirements. We are looking for solid candidates who meet the must have requirements. Candidates need to have the flexibility to be assigned to other responsibilities related to the end-to-end delivery of the Regulatory Reporting Service.

Requirements and Qualifications

Must have:

  • Business Systems Analysis (at least 7 years)

  • Strong data analytics skills (at least 5 years)

  • Working knowledge of EBA Reporting Frameworks (COREP, FINREP, SRB, AnaCredit, Pillar 3, Statistical Reporting)

  • Some JSON, REST API, XML experience (2-3 years)

  • Experience working with Agile / Hybrid project delivery models

  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Good technical acumen

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Pro-active with excellent communication skills

Nice to have :

Jira and Confluence (or similar tools) to manage project scope, progress and deliverables.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

You will promptly report to TD Management and Compliance any violation or possible violation of such regulatory requirements identified as part of your supervisory responsibilities.

You must take reasonable steps to demonstrate that you exercise due skill, care and diligence in managing and/or delegating your responsibilities outlined, appropriately.

It is your responsibility to be fully aware of:

  • The scope of your management responsibilities.

  • The TD Policies and regulatory requirements pertaining to the business/activities you are managing.

  • The competence level of the staff, if any, reporting to you.

  • The control limits and your ability, if any, to delegate them within your business.
