Middle Market Banking provides clients consisting of corporations, municipalities and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $50MM to $750MM with comprehensive financial solutions including lending, treasury management, capital markets, investment services and other financial solutions.

Job Description

The Middle Market Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking is an external sales role that is responsible for obtaining new and growing existing commercial relationships within the Middle Market target space. This position is the principal point of client acquisition and retention of existing and ongoing relationships. RMs work both independently and as part of a MM Regional Team to secure new and maximize existing profitable commercial relationships by cross selling the full range of TD's products and services.

Middle Market Relationship Managers gather and coordinate financial and general business information along with financial analysis needed to make sound credit decisions. The RM negotiates terms and conditions within parameters defined by credit decisions and finalizes loan agreements.

Job Requirements

The RM coordinates and spearheads with applicable TD product partners all cross selling opportunities to support the commercial strategy. Actively generates referrals to all business partners in the bank to help meet the comprehensive financial needs of customers and prospects. The RM reports directly to the geographic Middle Market Team Lead.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have deep working knowledge of corporate lending solutions along with acceptable underwriting and credit risk knowledge. Our most successful RMs have a disciplined approach to prospecting for new business within the applicable geographic market and deep local connections along with strong market knowledge.

•Bachelor's degree or equivalent

•Minimum of 5-7 years of commercial direct lending and credit support related experience plus completion of a formal bank credit training program

•High level of credit and financial analysis skills

•Preference will be given to locally based candidates with demonstrated experience securing new and managing existing clients in a commercial bank setting

•Refined negotiations skills;

•Demonstrated experience working in a sales, team oriented environment while managing individual goals and objectives

•Ability to work with and coordinate internal product partners and resources

•Excellent problem solving, oral, and written communication skills
